About the FII/DII data page

This page tracks daily cash-market activity by Foreign Institutional Investors (registered with SEBI as FPIs) and Domestic Institutional Investors — mutual funds, insurers and banks. For each side it shows what was bought, what was sold and the net figure, which together are the standard read on institutional flow into and out of Indian equities.

Because FIIs hold large positions in index heavyweights, sustained foreign selling puts direct supply pressure on the Nifty 50, while domestic institutions — funded by steady SIP inflows — frequently absorb it. Flow data is a context indicator: pair it with the option-chain and open-interest pages linked above rather than trading it on its own.
